When I submit a pbs-generic-interactive job to lincoln.ncsa.uiuc.edu, the job does not start properly - cannot get the first instance of the run, nor rerun...
this seemed to work last week.

My feeling is that the following happened:

1. you launched an original interactive job.
2. the time on this job ran out.
3. you launched again, expecting to see an immediate run of the app, but what happened was another -I job was submitted to the queue, but got stuck in the queue.

I would try this again, and watch if the job does get past the SUBMITTED state.
