Description Jacek Pospychala CLA 2011-07-15 03:28:54 EDT
hi,
DefaultScope.INSTANCE javadoc says that this field exists since 3.4, but it was newly added in 3.7.

See Indigo javadoc:
http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/topic/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/api/org/eclipse/core/runtime/preferences/DefaultScope.html#INSTANCE

and for comparison, see javadocs from Eclipse 3.6:
http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/reference/api/org/eclipse/core/runtime/preferences/DefaultScope.html
Comment 1 Remy Suen CLA 2011-07-15 06:34:12 EDT
The preferences bundle (org.eclipse.equinox.preferences) was originally 3.3 and it was upped to 3.4 in Indigo. We do not tie the tag to the number of the Eclipse SDK.
Comment 2 DJ Houghton CLA 2011-07-18 08:20:54 EDT
Yes, it exists since version 3.4 of the bundle. Unrelated to the version of Eclipse that bundle was shipped in. Closing.
