I tried to enter the update site http://download.eclipse.org/recommenders/updates/stable/ from my Eclipse IDE Indigo install. So it seems to pick update compositeArtifacts.xml and that but it says "There are no items available" which is too bad, since I like to play with it…..
Christian, please try http://download.eclipse.org/recommenders/updates/dev/ A STABLE release is at the horizon but yet not ready. DEV and HEAD is supposed to work with 3.7. Best, Marcel
I tried DEV which had conflicts with other projects from Indigo (WindowBuilder for example). HEAD installed ok, but now Eclipse complains in the console about a jsmile lib that I dont have in the java.library.path…. Which then means in turn, that I cant use it until that is solved…….
I've hard times to reproduce your error report. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful yet. I tried three configurations: A fresh eclipse-SDK-3.7-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.tar.gz +: + DEV w/o any other plug-in installed before + HEAD w/o any other plug-in installed before + DEV w/ all windowbuilder plug-ins from indigo update site For each installation I was able to trigger a recommenders code completion on the scenario below: IStatusLineManager manager = getViewSite().getActionBars().getStatusLineManager(); manager.setMessage(""); manager.<^Space> HEAD build also runs on Win64 and Linux32 with Indigo. Could you attach an error log for more detailed analysis?
I am very sorry, missleading you that it was a Mac problem. Sorry. I have this problem on Windows 7, but used my Mac to enter the bug which defaulted the OS to Mac OS X..... I tried again this morning. Surprisingly I enter Label and it all worked fine .... (this first time). Then I removed the Label and I get this error again and no matter what I do know I get the same error again. To make things clearer for you I will attach the complete log of my Eclipse IDE including the bug. Hope that helps.

> java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class smile.Network The problem with the native smile library pops up from time to time on different clients. I thought this should be solved... Anyway, in the last months we worked on a replacement for Smile (a C library for Bayesian Networks). This replacement is written in pure Java and should solve that issue for all times. Next drop is planned for the end of next week. I'll update priority to integrate the new Bayesian Network library into this drop.
Update: We replaced the bayesian network library by our own implementation. The new build is available on HEAD update site. Feel free to help out testing this build and report any errors regarding the probability computation here. Thanks, Marcel
I guess this is fixed with 0.4. since smile has been replaced by our own pure java bayesian network implementation. Closing this now.
