Build Identifier: 20110218-0911 (Helios) I am working on Windows XP - Helios was working great until recently. Thought I will upgrade to Indigo, but I am unable to connect to the update and install sites! I did check the web and per one of the listing for NTLMv2 and proxy, I did add the 6 line mentioned lines to eclipse.ini file - doesn't help! Then deleted the last 5, that didn't help either. Then deleted the install competely, downloaded eclipse again, then all the whole step again! I have done this atleast 7 times, then completely cleaned it and installed Equinox - I find the same problem here as well! I do not have a proxy and no other apps requires a user id/password. Per the logs, I see it is unable to connect to the sites mentioned - and no, I haven't changed or added anything. I download the zip and unzip to a folder and work from there on - till a few days back it worked without any hitch! Please help! Attaching a screenshots of -debug - console -consoleLog and - 1) installing adapters. 2) Update. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Eclipse. 2. Click on "Help -> Check for Updates" OR "Help -> Install New Software.." 3. It keeps checking and then fails ... 4. There was a time when I saw "Bogus chunk size", other times, it complained that the jars were non-existent.

Is that still an issue? Are you running behind an NTLM proxy?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
