To ensure that contributors and committers use consistent settings for Organize Imports project specific settings should be enabled for all projects.

Sounds good.  No special needs from Mylyn Docs that I'm aware of.  I suggest that we create a copy of the default Eclipse settings and apply them as project-specific settings.

Agreed. We have so far assumed that everyone is using default settings (which is not always true).

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
