Description Chris McGee CLA 2011-06-29 13:43:35 EDT
This appears on any editor that uses these decorations.

If I resize the editor so that the control with the decoration is hidden by a tab group at the bottom of the editor pane, the decoration bleeds through and renders on top of the tabs. Note that it doesn't appear to happen if I use the editor's own internal scroll bar. I have to resize the editor pane from the bottom to make it happen.

This can be easily reproduced using the PDE manifest editor on my system.

Confirmed to be broken with I20110526-1708 on Windows XP.

I don't understand how to reproduce the problem.
What is the "control with the decoration" ?

Please provided steps how to reproduce the bug and or a screenshot of problem
Thank you

Sorry, we weren't clear at all. It seems the control decoration doesn't realize its "parent" control is invisible and so it continues to draw the decoration. This is probably a JFace problem.

I see this problem as well. Are there any workarounds or recommendations?

Nevermind a better search criteria brought up this bug which fixed my problem. I just needed to provide the parent for the control to render on.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
