For me the comment access via the Outline View is a nice feature allowing me to navigate to the last comment if there are many ones. But the performance seems to drop drastically if the number of comments gets near or even above one hundred. Then it takes more than a minute to open the comment via Outline View. Eclipse seems to be frozen during that time. IHMO, it could be that the access using the Outline View just opens the _complete_ comment section instead of the last bits. This could be indeed a performance hit. h4. Steps To Reproduce * Create Bugzilla task with many comments ** My example: 266: announce Early Access releases (https://tasktop.com/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=266) * Goto Outline View * Move down to last comment * Click on this comment * ... Wait and count seconds ... * Finally, the complete comment section is open and positioned at the wanted comment. -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.3.2.20110218-0812 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.mylyn_feature 3.5.1.v20110422-0200 -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.3.2.20110218-0812 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.mylyn_feature 3.5.1.v20110422-0200
It takes less than a second for me I follow these steps. Which comments are shown as expanded for you? I only see comments 95-105 (collapsed) and 106 expanded.

Jörg, could you try this again and let me know if you are still able to reproduce the problem?
(In reply to comment #3) > Jörg, could you try this again and let me know if you are still able to > reproduce the problem? Hi Steffen, since I am on holiday now, I could retry this as early as on 12th September. Please trigger me again if I forget it. Thanks, Jörg
Steffen, this now working for me. Wondering what you might have changed...
