Description Karol Gusak CLA 2011-06-25 08:09:14 EDT
Currently the window containing content assist completion proposals disappears right after user inputs any key. It should rather filter the proposals' list depending on what fragment of the word user has already entered, or disappear if the prefix doesn't match any completions.

Sounds like a regression to me.
Comment 2 Mark Macdonald CLA 2011-06-27 16:31:19 EDT
Doesn't seem to be a regression-- content assist has worked this way since M4.
Comment 3 Mark Macdonald CLA 2011-06-27 16:33:11 EDT
Should be fixed now. When content assist is open, it will update as you type:

http://git.eclipse.org/c/e4/org.eclipse.orion.client.git/commit/?id=8bbd2b3efc8b7391847aaa6a4f5397c53ff9ed78

One remaining issue is that clicking on the editor should cancel content assist. There is no API for listening to mouse events on TextView, so I opened Bug 350494.
