Build Identifier: 20110615-0604 At 'random' moments hoover windows leave garbage in the editor screen. The screen gets painted correctly after scrolling the section away from the screen or by editing the corresponding line. See the attached screen shots for examples. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. edit java source code 2. create a popup / hoover window (e.g. content assist, javadoc) 3. leave the popup and continue editing, the popup is not completely gone.

Ugly. Is there anything special in the way your display is set up (e.g. VNC or another remote desktop access method)? I've never seen that on Windows. Moving to SWT.
No nothing special. Just a desktop computer. Debian Squeeze as OS.
What version of gtk do you have installed?
(In reply to comment #6) > What version of gtk do you have installed? GTK+ 2.20 (debian squeeze)
problem still there in Juno release.
Problem is not present with GTK+ 2.24.10 (debian wheezy). I am not sure if Eclipse also uses GTK+ 3 features but the GTK+ 3 version I have is 3.4.2.
FWIW, problems disappeared after upgrading graphic driver (intel) on Linux GTK+. Might not be GTK+ or Eclipse related.
