Build Identifier: Although ChangeLog is able to merge file names, it is unable to merge function names. It happens when the user prepares more than 1 ChangeLog before the next commit. So the user is seeing the same set of methods being repeated in the change log. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Commit the project 2. Prepare change log 3. Prepare change log (or even more prepare change logs)
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
I can confirm that this still happens. Making a change to a function and repeatedly pressing Ctrl+Alt+P adds that function's name to the log multiple times, while the file the function came from doesn't get repeated. I doubt this is by design, so this should still be considered an active bug.
