Steps:

1) Type some characters in line
2) hit Ctrl+D to delete the line
3) hit Ctrl+Z to undo

Note that the characters type in 1) are lost

The fix is to add the following to the first line of UndoStack#startCompaundChange 

    this._commitUndo();
