Description Felipe Plattek CLA 2011-06-14 18:08:47 EDT
Working on Eclipse CDT
Version: Helios Service Release 2
Build id: 20110218-0911

Local box running win-xp-sp2.

RSE connection over SSH, with fast connection to remote box.

Any action involving remote file system, makes eclipse freeze for ~20 seconds.

Bug only happens when local box is running XWin server (on cygwin).
XWin CPU usage thrashes at about 60%.

When XWin is shutdown, eclipse and RSE work normally, with no delays.

This sounds more like a network / routing problem than an Eclipse problem.
Could it be that XWin messes up your hosts file, or DNS entries ?

It might help if you attach a Thread dump created when Eclipse is hanging.
