As part of the Mylyn restructuring repositories on download.eclipse.org moved to new locations. Older Eclipse client will however still be configured to search the old locations. It would be nice to redirect requests to old download locations if that is possible: /tools/mylyn/update/e3.4 - /mylyn/releases/latest /tools/mylyn/update/galileo - /mylyn/releases/galileo /tools/mylyn/update/helios - /mylyn/releases/helios /tools/mylyn/update/indigo - /mylyn/releases/indigo /tools/mylyn/update/weekly - /mylyn/snapshots/weekly /tools/mylyn/update-archive - /mylyn/archive Maybe this makes it more clear assuming these rules were configured in a .htaccess file under ~/download/tools/mylyn: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^update-archive(.*)$ http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/archive$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^update/e3.4(.*)$ http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/releases/latest$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^update/weekly(.*)$ http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/snapshots/weekly$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^update(.*)$ http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/releases$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/$1 [R,L]
Ok, I've added these redirects(with a modifcation) to the Apache config. We'll remove them in a year or so. Can you confirm the works as you expect? If so I'll remove the contents of /tools/mylyn . -M.
I did a round of testing and the redirects look good to me!
I think we are good here. Please feel free to remove download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn.
Ok, it's gone. If we need it we'll need to rely on the tape archive. -M.
Turns out using archive as a directory name wasn't a smart decision on my part. I have renamed it to "drops" to make sure releases get mirrored. Please update the redirect accordingly: /tools/mylyn/update-archive - /mylyn/drops Thanks!
Ok I've updated the redirects. -M.
Thanks! I have tested an install from the old redirected location which worked fine.
