Build Identifier: 20100917-0705 This happens on Windows Server 2008 (which is Vista-based I think) with Helios SR1. Simple test is to include an echo command in the customBuildCallbacks.xml file. It is never printed and all the other custom targets are not executed. This worked flawlessly on Ganymede (I skipped Galileo so don't know about that one). I tried some variations e.g. specifying ./<file> instead of just <file> and experimented with related properties like customBuildCallbacks.buildpath to no avail. I am using custom targets no only for generating some build ID, but also for code obfuscation which is rather important for an commercial Eclipse product, so its not a trivial bug for me, but lets start with normal severity anyway because I don't know what others do with this... Btw. I did read the info here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1346566/eclipse-pde-build-does-not-call-custombuildcallbacks-xml but it wasn't very helpful, as I know the file is in the correct place and it did work for the last 2 years. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a normal plugin or product plugin and have it use a customBuildCallbacks.xml 2. add customBuildCallbacks=customBuildCallbacks.xml to build.properties of plugin 3. export the plugin/product using the appropriate PDE wizard (Deployable plug-ins or product export wizard)
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
