Text widgets look strange in IE 9. The bottom and right edges appear cut off, whereas in other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) they are fully drawn.

Are you running 64-bit version of IE9? If yes - you are running into this bug 340002. I can't reproduce it with 32-bit version of IE9... only with 64-bit.
