Our pages are spending tons of time painting now and as the page comes in it looks bizarre.

Off the top of my head we could set the body.style.visibility to "hidden" in the html file and then defer the dojo.parse to the bottom of the matching js file so we do something like...

document.body.style.visibility = "visible";
dojo.parser.parse();

at the very bottom.
