The Valgrind user guide currently says that it only supports Memcheck, Massif, and Cachegrind. We should update it to reflect the Helgrind support. http://wiki.eclipse.org/Linux_Tools_Project/Valgrind/User_Guide#Overview ... among other places. Let's worry about this post-Indigo.
CQ:WIND00309307 At the minimum, could we hyperlink to original valgrind / helgrind docs ? I'd also like to see a context help ID from the helgrind launch.
Targeting 0.9.0
Sorry, this didn't make 0.9.0. Let's aim for 0.9.1.
Re-assigning to Daniel as it makes sense for him to write it :)
I will have a look into this after https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=364198 What's the release date for 0.9.1 ?
No date for 0.9.1 yet. It's slushy since critical bug fixes could make it happen very soon and even make a 0.9.2 shortly thereafter.
I'm involved in Perf enhancements right now but haven't forgot about this work. Is the date for 0.9.1 still unknown? Because I can rush this work instead of Perf if we're running close to this new release.
There is no date for 0.9.1 yet so it's up to you. It's likely 0.9.1 will happen before a release including perf (we won't add that in a x.x.1 release) so maybe get this finished first?
Hello, I've added a new section for Helgrind: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Linux_Tools_Project/Valgrind/User_Guide#Using_Helgrind I've also added the link for this page here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Linux_Tools_Project/Valgrind/User_Guide#Overview Let me know if more documentation is needed.
This is great, Daniel, thanks! I've opened a bug (bug 367373) so we re-generate the HTML and include it in the doc plugin.
