Currently on unfocused tables selection state is simply ignored when the HIDE_SELECTION flag is used. Instead the flag should be available in the TableItem-Theming, where the selection-theming for that case can be handled in any desired fashion.

Agreed. This would allow us to move the handling of this style flag entirely to the theming, right?
