Description Nicolas Guyomar CLA 2011-06-01 08:12:04 EDT
Hi,

The following action should be accurately renamed :

- "Only show common colums" with "Only show common columns"
- "Sort Column By Type" with "Sort columns by type"
- "Sort Column By Name" with "Sort columns by name" (for A to Z as well as Z to A)

Regards,
Nicolas Guyomar

I think these action names should use "headline-style" capitalization.

From the Eclipse UI Guidelines[1] : Use Headline style capitalization for menus, tooltip and all titles, including those used for windows, dialogs, tabs, column headings and push buttons. Capitalize the first and last words, and all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. Do not include ending punctuation.

You are right Nicolas, I was not paying attention to capitalization.

According to the guidelines, tooltips should be capitalized like this :

- "Only show common colums" with "Only Show Common Columns"
- "Sort Column By Type" with "Sort Columns by Type"
- "Sort Column By Name" with "Sort Columns by Name"
- "Select columns to hide" with "Select Columns to Hide"
- "Create new element" with "Create New Element" or "Create Element"
