I20110525-0800 The name of the refresh job is not externalized in org.eclipse.ui.actions.RefreshAction#run(): new WorkspaceJob("refresh") This job name appears in the UI, e.g. when you refresh the workspace from the Navigator view, or when you press F5 in a non-modal CVS synchronization.
org.eclipse.ui.internal.navigator.resources.actions.ResourceMgmtActionProvider.makeActions().new RefreshAction() {...}.run() has the same problem. Note that Job names usually start with an upper case character. See bug 347290 for better API doc for WorkspaceJob(String).
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
