Description Daniel Serodio CLA 2011-05-25 17:44:19 EDT
I wanted to setup a new Jetty 7 server in Eclipse, but Jetty was not on the supported servers list. I clicked on "Download additional server adapters" in the New Server dialog, and downloaded "Jetty Generic Server Adaptor 1.0.4" (the only referente to Jetty I found on this list of available adaptors), but this only supports Jetty 6.

Please see the documentation for Jetty WTP Server Adapter at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Jetty_WTP_Plugin.

You may need to install JST Server UI before the Jetty Server Adapter (bug 321663). That way you can install it either as a plugin or in the servers view.

Thanks for the link, I was able to install support for Jetty 7 now. But why do I need to install a separate plugin for Jetty 7, if support for much less popular servers like ObjectWeb JOnAS is present out of the box and SAP NetWeaver is available from "Download additional server adapters" ?

mostly because there have been some issues with getting hooked up to the WTP inclusion service

I'll follow up on that again soon since I have pushed some updates to the plugin
