when attempting to "convert to faceted form ..." and cancelling the conversion wizard, the next time, in the conetxt menu there's no "convert to faceted form ..." anymore. checking the .project file, i see that the conversion has already begun and was not reverted when cancelling. - rmc on project - select configure -> "convert to faceted form ..." - cancel dialog/wizard - rmc on project again - configure -> "convert to faceted form ..." is missing - compare .project to the version before the first attempt to convert and see that facet builder and face nature are there although conversion was cancelled -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.3.2.20110218-0812 (org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.jdt 3.6.2.r362_v20101117-0800-7z8XFW6FLFlmjJcvz03jyeFBLS_F
Will look into this for 0.3.1 release. I doubt that we would go as far as trying to figure out how to do a rollback, but I will compare this feature to other similar eclipse features. Maybe we should disable cancel or maybe partial state is the common behavior.
any news on this? it's still in eclipse 4.4 and absolutely incomprehensible why changes are made before the user even sees the UI, let alone can do anything.
