Description Denis Roy CLA 2011-05-24 10:24:26 EDT
It doesn't happen all too frequently, but when the database slave gets lagged too far behind (>120s) new forum posts can be "posted" a dozen times or more. Fortunately, they are not repeated to NNTP and are fairly easy to clean up.

In the immediate term, I need to fix the database monitor script that sends Bugzilla (and Forum) queries to the master should the slave be too far behind (or simply not running).

In the longer term, I need to fix this behaviour in the slave. There must be some post-sumbit data the forum is fetching from the slave and when it doesn't see it there, it reposts.

Here's another case of it happening: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/sp/115585/
If you have an easier way of cleaning up those duplicates rather than dozens of manual clicks, please do so.

This has been addressed also.
