Description Miles Parker CLA 2011-05-23 21:58:37 EDT
When I get a low-level error, e.g.:

An internal Exception occurred during push: ... error occurred during unpacking on the remote end: unpack-objects abnormal exit

I get the dialog shown but nothing in the error log.

Sounds like bug 320452. Is this still happening?

Comment 2 Miles Parker CLA 2011-06-15 16:01:07 EDT
No -- I mean the error isn't happening for me.. Denis fixed it on the repos side. bug 346923

This report is intended to capture that EGit seems to be swallowing the low-level error.
Comment 3 Matthias Sohn CLA 2011-06-28 04:40:26 EDT
PushOperation currently returns error messages to the UI but doesn't log the errors. Instead it should also log the errors including stack traces to the error log.

I have proposed a patch for this:
