Description Bernhard Merkle CLA 2011-05-19 13:26:11 EDT
as we now have the import/export facility in 3.7 I think it would make sense to -
- have a export facility from Installation History

especially now when we can tag a "valid" or "important" installation status it would make sense to export this.

The user should be able to select either:
- all plugins which are installed at that time
- only the _NEW_ plugins which were installed _since_ the previous step

We should extend the "Eclipse Installation Details" dialog in the "Installation History" tab.

do you think this makes sense ? I think this is a really usefull usecase.

This sounds like a good idea. I suppose that rather than doing it directly from the history dialog it can be done from the export page itself if the user could see the history.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
