Description Nicolas Bros CLA 2011-05-19 08:18:08 EDT
The javadoc in org.eclipse.gmt.modisco.doc is very big, and results in a bloated download and install:
- 6.2 MiB for the jar.pack.gz (which is downloaded at each install) out of 10.8 MiB for all the jar.pack.gz
- 15.1 MiB for the jar out of 42.9 MiB for all jars
- 139 MiB once installed, out of 164 MiB for the whole of MoDisco

What's more, this generated javadoc is not useful to most users, since the sources are bundled in the SDK and it's easy to see the javadoc in the Javadoc view or by using the completion, hovers, etc.

The obvious solution is to take the javadoc out of the SDK feature, and put it in a separate — optional — feature.

This cannot be done for 0.9 since this would imply adding a new feature. So, it will have to be done for 0.10

We will switch to EMF Facet before to try to solve such bugs. => P5
