When I post a message, there is a checkbox "append signature" but I can't find a place to define my signature in the control panels.

"Allow Signatures" is set to Off in the Forum's global settings. This must be a bug with the forum.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

We won't be investing any resources into this aspect of our infra, as it is either deprecated, or it will be soon.
