was this fixed as in fixed the problem, or fixed as in excluded the test?

This test consistently stalls on my MacBook Pro. I've not been able to do a full build with tests for months. I've added a check to prevent this test from running on MacOS X and also added a check for the -DSTRESS flag so that we can run this test when needed.
