Build Identifier: 20110218-0911 Using the m2e-egit connector: Maven SCM Handler for EGit 0.13.0.201103031543 org.sonatype.m2e.egit.feature.feature.group When trying to 'Import Maven Project' from the Git Repository Exploring perspective, the projects are imported properly, but they are not automatically shared to be synchronized with git. This can be manually done by right clicking the projects->Team->Share Project and eclipse automatically fills the proper connection. Reproducible: Always
I hit this myself, but I _think_ (and someone should confirm) that an even better workaround is to check the "Auto Share Projects" option in Preferences -> Team -> Git -> Projects. Once I checked this, then used the "import maven projects" option, they showed as shared without any additional effort.
Per your suggestion, I wanted to try it out myself, however, I don't see such an option in the preferences. Can you share which egit version you currently have installed?
Auto-sharing was added in recently released EGit 1.2 according to [1]. I think it's fair to close this issue as WORKSFORME now (besides, m2e/egit is not part of m2e project, so eclipse bugzilla was not the right place for this feature request).
