Currently, the GWT runtime and associated generated code have dependencies on the App Engine SDK (specifically, its data store facility). These dependencies should be refactored so that GWT support can be used with other back-end providers, e.g., Amazon S3 and/or simpledb.

There's no resource to enhance the GWT support.  There's barely resource to support it.
