Description Uwe Stieber CLA 2011-05-13 05:31:34 EDT
The FilterActionGroup is supposed to visualize the last 5 modified filters as shortcuts in the view menu, just as the Package Explorer is having it. However, the FilterActionGroup#updateFilterShortcuts() is completely empty. So the FilterActionGroup functionality is completely missing.

Providing a custom implementation is at best hard to do as A) all involved classes are in internal packages, B) there is no hook to intercept the creation of FilterActionGroup in CommonNavigatorActionGroup and C) it is unclear how to get the filter information required to generate the last 5 shortcuts.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
