Build Identifier: 3.7M7-201104280848 The return state from WorkbenchWindowAdvisor.isDurableFolder is not remembered across sessions. It works well, the folder remains visible when all its childrens are closed, when the perspective is reset, but it doesn't work anymore when the application is restarted. Looks like the status is never checked after the initial perspective setup nor it is saved or restored from the workbench persisted settings. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Return true from WorkbenchWindowAdvisor.isDurableFolder 2. Reset perspective 3. Exit and restart the application
Created attachment 195567 [details] Patch Patch to save and restore durable flag and view stack state.
Seems that this bug was fixed in Eclipse 3.8M2. WorkbenchWindowAdvisor.isDurableFolder is called when the perspective is restored so no need to save the state. Can anyone confirm ?
Marco, I believe this is the same bug as bug 355750?
Yes, the bug is the same.
