1)
Clean install Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Version: Helios Service Release 2
Build id: 20110218-0911

(also fails with other distributions)

2)
Add to eclipse.ini:
-vm
c:\jdk1.6.0_24\bin\javaw.exe
-vmargs
-Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5
-Xms40m
-Xmx384m

3)
Start eclipse, install m2e from http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/sites/m2e, ver 0.12

4)
New Maven Project -> Next -> Group id: org.apache.karaf.archetypes -> Next -> fill in fields -> Next

5) A dialog named "Failed to create project" pops up: "Can't rename Can't rename project_path"

I was not able to reproduce the problem using m2e 0.13.0 M7
