Description Bingxue Xu CLA 2011-05-04 17:57:10 EDT
In the current Eclipse platform, the Import Existing Projects into Workspace wizrad will no list those projects in the Project selction window if those projects already exist in the workspace. This item requests the capability to allow users to re-import existing projects into the workspace and provide an option for users to confirm whether they want to proceed with that and override the existing projects in the wokespace or not.

I would like to see something that worked similar to Team's Check Out As. A project that already exists could replace an existing one when imported (no merge) or renamed (always check out org.eclipse.ui.workbench as org.eclipse.ui.workbench.r37 when working on the compatibility layer in 4.x).
