If you have a long list of old versions and target milestones, it's annoying to have to scroll past them to set the current milestone and version on a new task. Could these be sorted in reverse order so that the current ones are at or near the top?

The sorting in the task editor should follow the web UI (bug 236747). I do see you point though and we should consider improvements for frequently selected items. Let's collect these suggestions on bug 338459.
