The palette customization and runtime frameworks should be updated with the notion of extended types. These types allows:
- prevalidation queries: a boolean query is runned to know if a specific element can be created or not
- pre/post actions on the created element, for example applying stereotypes

Code generators have to be updated to allow usage of Extended Types
