This is a follow up to bug 337550 where a simple filter for branches has been added. The filter is fine but it could be even better. To keep up with the current Eclipse UI style the filter should look more like TagSelectionDialog used when switching to a branch or merging. It should allow to select from a list, have content assist, etc.
If we do it we must make sure that one can also enter any pattern. Low prio for me.

Help is also in Git, but not Gerrit-enabled. You need to clone the following repo and build the patch against the current state: http://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.common.git/

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
