The binary serialization version save option (BinaryResourceImpl.OPTION_VERSION) can't currently be used in the GWT runtime due to an RPC serialization error. To allow this, the BinaryResourceImpl.BinaryIO.Version enumeration would need to be added to a whitelist.

I suspect this problem may also affect other resource options, e.g., Resource.OPTION_CIPHER...

The fix is committed to CVS for 2.7.

The changes are available in EMF 2.7 M7 or an earlier build.
