Build Identifier: Hi All, I have downloaded Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers for windows xp. When i double click on the Eclipse.exe nothing happens. The initial screen/popup whatever just stays for a sec and disappears and then noting happens. Help me in resolving it Reproducible: Always
What file did you download? What is its name? Can you run java from the command line? Where is Java installed?
With most probability you are running a 64 bit Eclipse on a 32 bit VM or vice versa. Please try to download the right Eclipse for your VM and then try it again. If it fails to load, feel free to reopen this bug with more information.

When i first downloaded the the eclipse-java-galileo-SR2-win32.zip file and unzipped, i was able to launch eclipse. After that when i installed ADT(Android Development tool) and trying to launch eclipse, i am unable to do it now. So I think i have downloaded a 32-bit product which is compatible to my system

Then the issue is with ADT. You should raise a bug there. Did you see anything in the Error Log?
