Description Pierre-Charles David CLA 2003-03-10 09:30:29 EST
Under 2.1 RC2 (Linux/Gtk, JDK 1.4.&_01), with CVS decorators enabled, when I
modify and then save a file which comes from a CVS project, the CPU goes to 100%
usage for an undefinite long time (I've let it go for a few minutes on a P4 @
1.6GHz).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Eclipse 2.1 RC2, Linux/GTK
2. Launch it (creates a clean, empty workspace)
3. Go to Window>Preferences>Workbench>Label decorations
4. Enable CVS decorators & close preferences window.
5. Got to CVS perspective, add a new location, and import an existing Java project.
6. Open a Java file from this project.
7. Edit and save it.
8. Watch the CPU usage go to 100%. Note that Eclipse is not freezed and you can
continue to work almost normally.
9. Go to Window>Preferences>Workbench>Label decorations
10. Disable CVS decorators
11. Watch the CPU usage drop down to 0% immediatly.

Tod confirmed its a dupe of existing UI bug.
I guessed at the bug report #, but it might not be the right choice. They are
all being fixed for RC3.
