Description Martin Fluegge CLA 2011-04-15 07:20:00 EDT
When an extended GMF editor becomes dirty neither the save icon is enabled nor is the short cur usable. This only happens if the editor pane has the focus. If you change anything in the properties view the icon is enabled correctly. Unfortunately this problem only occurs in the extended editor. The original GMF counterpart is not effected by this bug.

Bonjour Mariot,

do you remember that we tried to solve this issue at EclipseCon? ;)

It tried to have another look at it and figured out that it also occurs in pure GMF editors. I observed the following behavior:

- open a diagram (I tried this with the Acore diagram and the EcoreTools diagram)
- create a Node and save
- now move the node -> Only the "Save as" Icon is enabled correctly. The "Save" icon stays disabled
- click somewhere else in the editor pane -> now the save icon becomes enabled
- save using the "Save" icon -> save is performed, but the icons stays enabled

Could you confirm that this issue is know or reproducible? Maybe this happens with a newer version of GMF on older editor?

Thanks in advance ;)

Hi Martin,

Sorry for the long delay before my response.
It seems to be very close related to bug 346648.

We will do our best to fix it rapidly, but definitively the problem does not come from dawn.

Mariot

Hi Mariot,

thanks for keeping me updated :)

Yes, it seems indeed as if bug 346648 is the root for the problems in Dawn. Thus I am resolving this one as WONTFIX.
