Description Emanuel Hucka CLA 2011-04-15 03:53:31 EDT
Build Identifier: 20100218-1602

Ubuntu 10.04, gnome 2.30.2
JDK 1.6.0_24

Mouse down action invoked on visible jface tooltip blocks X session for all mouse actions by posting of 'mouse down' action without followed 'mouse up'. See org.eclipse.jface.window.ToolTip.passOnEvent(ToolTip.java:502).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
My use case:
1. my app shows jface tooltips on a Canvas component or on cells of TableViewer
2. if the mouse click goes through opened tooltip to the underlying component it always stucks whole desktop for all mouse events. Killing of the app does not help.
3. restart X server or call e.g. 'xdootool mouseup ...' outside the X session to correct the stuck but it is not applicable for our customers

This sounds like it is fixed in 298770 which means 3.6.0
Comment 2 Emanuel Hucka CLA 2011-04-15 08:54:53 EDT
Yes, it seems there is resolved the same problem.
