Build Identifier: I20110407-2200 OS:All Eclipse 4.1 NLpack1-eclipse-SDK-I20110329-2200.zip Link 'whitespace' does not work on preferences dialog for Text Editors, when NL-pack is installed for Japanese language. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install NLpack1-eclipse-SDK-I20110329-2200.zip 2. Launch Eclipse with "-nl ja" option like "eclipse -nl ja" 3. [Window] -> [Preferences] -> [General] -> [Editors] -> [Text Editors] 4. See 'Show whitespace characters' 5. No link appears on 'whitespace' in Japanese though it appears in English. 6. It means Eclipse can not open the dialog 'Show whitespace characters'. I will attach two images, one is in English, the other is in Japanese.

Can you attach the language pack or a link to it? I suspect a bug in the translation.
It also looks like some stuff is not translated.
I used this NLPack. http://ies.ottawa.ibm.com/ies/nl/4.1-LanguagePacks/NLpack1-eclipse-SDK-I20110329-2200.zip
In /org.eclipse.ui.editors/src/org/eclipse/ui/internal/editors/text/TextEditorMessages.properties the following key isn't correctly translated: TextEditorDefaultsPreferencePage_showWhitespaceCharacters The "<a>" and "</a>" which denote the link (text) are missing in the translated text. This file also misses several keys. It's probably outdated and not meant to be used for 3.7 or 4.1. Marking as NOT_ECLIPSE as those translations aren't from Eclipse. Please reopen if you took them directly from Eclipse Babel and move the bug accordingly.
