It would be great, if the maven run could use the proxy settings from Eclipse. This way, your native system proxy can be easily used. And switching between different proxies is as easy as just set the correct system proxy once. Compare with https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-2423 and https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-2132.

m2e uses maven proxy configuration http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-proxies.html.
