We're currently using a single MySQL server for the forums, and I'd like to move the forums onto our DB cluster for better performance.  Our forum software does not support database slaves, so I've hacked the code and submitted a patch.

In testing it seems to work well.

Database slave support is now enabled, and has even been pushed back into the tree:
