GET on RemoteLocation returns the list of remotes for the given repository. GET on one of remotes returns the list of branches for the remote.
I need to get somehow the remote and the branch that is associated with the checked out local branch. I think that sorting these lists so the right remote and branch are index 0 is fine for me.

Implemented this approach with http://git.eclipse.org/c/e4/org.eclipse.orion.server.git/commit/?id=4f962962f98dcba2090dc5b8d113f655bea7501d.

I'm leaving the bug open to suggest a better solution in the future. Nevertheless, the proposed implementation should be enough to stop blocking bug 339722.
