I'm running Eclipse 3.7M6. If I bring up the Target Definition editor and attempt to add the Linux Tools from the Indigo P2 repository, I will get an error that the filter does not match. I'm building for multiple platforms which includes Linux and I'd like to include the Linux tools in my build.
You need to uncheck required software at the bottom of the wizard when adding/editing a p2 repo location. When checked, the option will check that all required software (including OS restrictions) is available.
Created attachment 193172 [details] screenshot That's great except that it doesn't work. I tried to add all of CDT to my target platform with the that checkbox unchecked and got the error shown in the screenshot.

Do you have the Include all Environments check box set? Alternatively, on the the Environments tab, did you set the Operating System to be linux? Either one of those works for me.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
