I was selecting a dictionary file for the spell checker while I was updating eclipse. After the udpate was complete I was asked to select from "restart/apply/not now" dialog. But I was still caught in the "select file" dialog.
It was neither possible to select a file or cancel that dialog nor was it possible to select one option from the "restart/apply/not now" dialog.

Luckily I had just prior to selecting the dictionary file saved all my work.
I had to kill eclipse to escape from the deadlock.

This will make you lose your changes if they are not saved since you have to kill eclipse.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start searching from updates (some updates have to be found)
2.Procede into selecting dictionary file for spell checker
3.Wait for update procedure to return and ask for restart
4.Deadlock

I am unable to duplicate this on Windows 7 using 3.7-currrent.

What is the Eclipse version that you are using? The field "version" on this bug sais "4.1", is that correct?

Can you reproduce the problem? If so, please take a stack trace and attach it here. For details see http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/How_to_report_a_deadlock.
