Description Chris Beams CLA 2011-03-30 02:29:08 EDT
Build Identifier:

Scenario:

1. I create a local task to refactor SomeClass
2. I send mail to colleagues proposing my changes and asking for feedback
3. I drag the mail from Mail.app onto the 'Private' comment section of my local task so that I can easily refer back to the email.

Obviously, (3) is not possible right now. OS X is pretty good about making things linkable in drag-and-drop scenarios, and it seems reasonable (from my naive point of view) to support dropping them onto mylyn tasks.

Perhaps this is something more fundamental in Eclipse that needs to be addressed? I notice that I'm unable to perform this kind of dragging and dropping in any other editing context within Eclipse, but maybe it's possible to support it specifically at the Mylyn level?

Thanks,

- Chris

Reproducible: Always

Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, desktop integration of this type does not fall into the scope of the project and we are unable to resolve it. If you require this functionality I would recommend to consider support options from third parties, some of which can be found under http://eclipse.org/mylyn/support/.
