i need to be able to kick off aggregation builds too.
Should I be able to?
(I logged out and back in, expected to see a "build now" button somewhere)

Well you have full access to the 2 PTP jobs, so on their landing page you should see a 'build now' link(although one of the jobs is disabled so it'll need to be re-enabled first).

I need to be able to kick off

aggregration builds too; greg watson will be out of town in the near future and i'm the next in line.

Am I asking the wrong place?

Sort of.  To run that build you need to be a member of the callisto dev group.  David Williams oversees admission to that group, so your best bet is to drop David and I(webmaster) a line via email(or a bug if you like) requesting the access.  Once I have the +1 from David I'll add you to the group and you should be all set.
